Cosmos

Wensha Spa, Pasay City

You are a "cosmos of the universe".
I am a cosmos of the universe.
Each one of us is a cosmos of the universe.
Each one of us constitutes a point in the galaxy.
A point that may have meaning as cells in the human body.
A point that may be insignificant because everyone is apathetic.
A point of indifference.
A point of love.
A point of care.
Whatever your point means to you,
Whatever my point means to me,
You are a cosmos of this universe.
I am a cosmos of this universe.

As that cosmos of individuality,
You search from freedom.
I search for freedom.
You let your soul fly.
I let my soul fly.
You search for your own self.
I search for my own self.
I search for destiny.
You too search for your own destiny.
Where do we go as physical cosmoses?
Where do you go?
Where do I go?
We share things in common.
You look for things that will make you happy.
I look for things in simplicity.
I should value the common things around me.
I work, I walk, I talk.
I love, I care, I live, I die.
I go to public places.
I hate public places.
I observe, I kneel, I beg, I weep.
I see you. I saw you. I see many you.
Parks, churches, malls, restaurants.
I go there. I see you there.

Church.
I look back, sideways and affront.
I see families – a mother, a father, children.
Complete.
The cosmos of the universe is alone.
The cosmos is I.

Malls.
Privately owned for public.
What do I see there? Families.
A father, a mother, children.
Complete.
The cosmos of the universe is alone.
The cosmos is I.

Restaurants.
A place to dine.
A place to have fun.
A place for the family.
A father, a mother, children.
Complete.
I just fill my gut there.
The cosmos of the universe is alone.
The cosmos is I.

Parks.
Packed with lovers.
Families too on daytime holidays.
More often, lovers.
Lovers whom I do not know if they are true.
I don’t care.
Nevertheless, the cosmos of the universe is still alone.
The cosmos is I.

Museums.
Museums are best for families.
Father, mother, children.
Complete.
The cosmos of the universe loves museums.
That cosmos is alone.
The cosmos is I.

When I die I am sure a priest will say mass for me.
I will wait for that moment when he would say,
You are the "cosmos of the universe."
You were never alone my child.
You were loved.
You were cared for.
There are footprints in the sand.

When that time comes,
I will look down from above to say:
Thank you and I love you all.
Thank you for making me
A "cosmos of your universe."
